Individual Therapy You are looking at my website, searching for a therapist and considering therapy because something is troubling you. Perhaps you feel like something is missing from your life — such as fulfilling relationships or satisfying work. Or perhaps you are concerned about ongoing anxiety or depression, sadness or grief or worried about an illness or transition. Perhaps despite your best intentions to change, you find yourself repeating longstanding, unsatisfying relational patterns.
In therapy I’ll work with you to understand your experiences and your feelings. Many times in order to make changes, it is important to explore and understand how the past (experiences, relationships) is impacting the present. In my work, I use a range of conventional psychodynamic approaches and techniques. For many individuals, psychotherapy can help foster self-awareness, promote change, and assist with developing ways of managing those aspects of life that cannot be changed. Frequently in my work, clients tell me they simply feel better after we meet.
